Spring is in the air, the gravel is drying out, and we've been busy putting together the biggest season we've ever run. April through October. Thursday evening rides in Belleville with The Fit Collective, monthly gravel adventures across the region, community rides in Tyendinaga Township, and the Melrose Gravel Tour back for another year.
Here's everything you need to know.

Thursday Evenings — BOQ.BIKE × The Fit Collective
We've partnered with Holly at The Fit Collective for a 10-ride Thursday evening series. Every ride starts and finishes at 199 Front St in Belleville, runs 6:30–7:30 PM, and keeps you moving for 8–15 km on waterfront paths and city streets.
Some nights are easy-paced and conversational. Some nights Holly calls sprint intervals on the waterfront. Some nights the hills do the talking. And a few nights we ride out to the Rotary Fitness Park where Holly runs stations that'll have you earning your post-ride snack.
The vibe is simple: show up, ride your bike, have fun. All levels, all bikes, no judgment.

Monthly Gravel Series
This is what BOQ.BIKE is all about — getting out on quiet unpaved roads and seeing what's around the next corner. Seven rides across the region, each one following a route from our library. No drop, no pace requirements. Road bikes, hybrids, gravel bikes — whatever you've got, bring it.
The season opens flat and easy in Prince Edward County, builds through some bigger days in June and July, and finishes in Tyendinaga when the fall colours are at their best.

Melrose Gravel Tour — May 24
The Melrose Gravel Tour is back for 2026 and it's one of those events that reminds you why you got into cycling in the first place. Not the racing, not the gear — just good roads, good people, and a pancake waiting for you somewhere in the middle of Tyendinaga Township.
Four options this year: an 80km fondo (9:00 AM), a 50km mid-distance (9:00 AM), a new 35km route (9:45 AM) perfect for newer gravel riders, and a 5km family ride (10:30 AM). Post-ride BBQ and mid ride pancake stop are included. Free bike safety checks in the morning. It's a full day.
Registration is through CCN. Read the full details at bayofquinte.bike/melrose-gravel-tour-is-back.
Ride the Township — Tyendinaga Community Rides
This year we're partnering with Tyendinaga Township to bring cycling programming to the community. All rides are free, all are welcome, and everything starts and finishes at the Tyendinaga Township Recreation Complex (363 McFarlane Road, Shannonville).
Three flagship events:
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| May 24 | Family Bike Rally + Cycling Education (same day as Melrose!) |
| Jul 1 | Canada Day Bike Rally |
| Oct 31 | Halloween Ride |
Ride the Township — Monthly Monday Evening Rides:
Tyendinaga Township is one of the most underrated places to ride a bike in the whole region. Good gravel, quiet roads, and the kind of countryside that rewards a slow look around. Monday evenings, 6:00–8:00 PM.
| Date | Ride |
|---|---|
| Mon May 11 | Ride the Township — May |
| Mon Jun 8 | Ride the Township — June |
| Mon Jul 13 | Ride the Township — July |
| Mon Aug 10 | Ride the Township — August |
| Sun Sep 13 | Daley Driver (shared with the gravel series) |
| Mon Oct 19 | Ride the Township — October |
Can't Make a Ride? Go Anyway.
Every route in the gravel series lives in our route library at bayofquinte.bike. Grab a route, round up a few friends, and go ride it on your own schedule. That's honestly one of the best ways to use what we've built — the routes are there whenever you are.
One More Thing
All of this — the routes, the ride descriptions, the events, the site — is a labour of love from a very small crew. If you've used a BOQ.BIKE route, joined a ride, or just like knowing this resource exists for the Bay of Quinte region, you can support us with a membership at bayofquinte.bike/memberships. It's CA$4/month or CA$24/year, and it goes directly into keeping the lights on and the routes coming.
See you out there.
