About BOQ.BIKE
We started this the way most good things start around here: with a bike ride, a backroad, and the feeling that more people needed to know about this place.
BOQ.BIKE is a cycling community and infrastructure organization based in Belleville, Ontario. We build route networks, deliver community programming, and develop municipal cycling capacity across the Bay of Quinte region and its neighbours. We've been riding these roads long enough to know which ones are worth the climb.
The Community
The Bay of Quinte Adventure Cycling Club is home to 500+ members on Ride with GPS, exploring some of the best-kept secrets off the beaten paths of Hastings, Prince Edward, Northumberland and Lennox & Addington Counties.
Here, you'll find routes that avoid car traffic as much as possible — because the backroads are usually the ones worth riding. We've scouted and mapped over 60 routes in our region, from quick afternoon ramblers to our 270km Hella Hastings bikepacking route, covering everything from chipseal gravel to backcountry ATV trails. Our sister site hastings.bike hosts 30 more cycling routes built in partnership with Explore Hastings County, designed to help visitors find their way into the region's best riding without needing someone to draw them a map on the back of a napkin.
The best way to take advantage of everything we've built is simple: go ride. You don't need to show up to an event or join a group ride to get value from this community. Every route in our library is available on Ride With GPS whenever you want it — load it on your phone or GPS device and head out on your own schedule. The work we've put into mapping, rating, and annotating these routes exists so that you can show up to a trailhead in Tyendinaga or a gravel crossroads in Waupoos and know exactly where you're going next.
Group rides run throughout the season — guided, no-drop, and open to everyone willing to show up with a helmet and a charged GPS device. We're proud to support community events, including the Slake Snake Hill Climb in Prince Edward County and the Melrose Gravel Tour in Tyendinaga Township, giving the community something to train toward and talk about long after the season ends.
The Work
BOQ.BIKE INCORPORATED is a contracted cycling infrastructure and programming delivery organization. We collaborate with municipalities and funding bodies to build cycling capacity that sticks around.
Our proof of concept is Tyendinaga Township, where an Ontario Trillium Foundation Seed Grant funded a signed cycling route network, a wayfinding kiosk, community programming, and a digital route library — delivered by BOQ.BIKE in partnership with the Township.
Beyond municipal partnerships, BOQ.BIKE secures independent event funding through bodies like the Visit The County Community Partnership Fund, which supported the 2025 Slake Snake Hill Climb as part of Prince Edward County's shoulder-season tourism programming.
We bring route expertise, an existing audience, proven event infrastructure, and a track record of delivery.
Who We Are
We're Adam and Laura, a couple of locals who grew up riding the Bay of Quinte's backroads. Together we've built something we're so proud of: a community that rides, a route library people actually use, and a model for getting more people on bikes in places that don't usually make the cycling headlines.
