Marysburgh Vortex
The Marysburgh Vortex is a County legend, referring to a storied triangle between Point Petre, Wolfe Island and Oswego, NY. There are said to be over 100 shipwrecks in this region of Lake Ontario, a stark contrast from the zero shipwrecks you’ll find on this route.
Instead, what you’ll find is an oft-overlooked area of the County where open roads abound and cars full of tourists are eerily absent. This is a route that somehow passes by no wineries, galleries or farm-to-table restaurants. It does, however, pass by a cafe with milkshakes and hot dogs that seems tailor-made for cyclists. Someone’s definitely watching us.
Supernatural? We’ll let you decide.
